Stop and Pray

This is for the grandparents who have been forgotten, and the three year old children who just got a new baby sister and feel as if they are being neglected. This is for the boys whose fathers tell them to "be a man," and beats them and forces them to bend to their will. This is for the students who have struggles at home, and  never have time for schoolwork. Stop and pray. This is for the people who love something, but are to afraid to say it because they might get laughed at. This is for the sons whose mothers tell them that girls need more love and attention than boys do. This is for the young mothers that have cancer and are afraid of dying young, leaving behind a new family. Stop and pray, even when you feel as if the world is about to come crashing down all around you, stop and pray. This is for the man that every time he asks girls out, they always say no. This is for the girls who never get asked, and sit home crying the night of prom. This is for the kids that narrowly escaped death. Stop and pray, just stop and Pray. This is for the kids whose friends are trying to commit suicide, and for the boys that just can't go on. Stop and Pray. Stop, so that you can think about what is going on, and Pray to God that you may be helped with what you are going through. This is for the young ladies that get laughed at and get called foul names. This is for the boy whose father is an alcoholic. This is for the sister that just found out that her brother is addicted to porn. This is for the dad that never knows whether or not their little girl will be returned safely home that night. This is for the dogs that get beaten and kicked because they do not understand the human language. Stop and pray, even if you feel as if you are too low to be talking with God. Stop and pray. This is for the mother pig who gets taken away, from her newly born babies, to go and meet the light. This is for the teacher that got shot by a student that they failed. This is for  the innocent child that just can't stop it. This is for the child that gets told "do as I say and not as I do" 24/7. This is for the girl whose sister has autism. Stop and Pray. This... this is for you, and for me, and for every living creature who has ever had to struggle with something. Stop and pray.

I Keep Forgetting

I keep forgetting to remember. I keep forgetting to forgive and forget. I keep forgetting to visit that one teacher. I keep forgetting to finish anything. I keep forgetting to not judge. I keep forgetting when will we control our own lives. I keep forgetting that today is not the last day that I will see the light. I keep forgetting to sing and don't care whether or not my voice sucks. I keep forgetting to tell my mother "thank you for giving me everything." I keep forgetting that they do love me, even though they always make me feel so stupid. I keep forgetting to feed my dog. I keep forgetting to laugh and cry. I just keep forgetting. I keep forgetting to stay alive, and plow through my trials. I keep forgetting to smile. I keep forgetting that everybody dies, and not everybody lives. I keep forgetting that everybody is nice. I keep forgetting that everybody is mean. I keep forgetting that he loves me, no matter what I do, and that I just have to pray to him if I want his comfort. I keep forgetting to pray for help. I keep forgetting to forget.

2 Songs

Title: A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief

1. A poor wayfaring man of grief
Hath often crossed me on my way,
Who sued so humbly for relief
That I could never answer Nay:
I had not power to ask his name,
Whither he went or whence he came;
Yet there was something in his eye
That won my love, I know not why.

2. Once when my scanty meal was spread,
He entered; not a word he spake;
Just perishing for want of bread;
I gave him all: he blessed it, brake;
And ate, but gave me part again;
Mine was an angel's portion then,
For while I fed with eager haste,
The crust was manna to my taste.

3. I spied him where a fountain burst
Clear from the rock; - his strength was gone;
The heedless water mocked his thirst,
He heard it, saw it, hurrying on:
I ran and raised the sufferer up,
Thrice from the stream he drained my cup,
Dipped and returned it running o'er;
I drank, and never thirsted more.

4. 'Twas night, the floods were out, it blew
A winter hurricane aloof;
I heard his voice abroad, and flew
To bid him welcome to my roof:
I warmed, I clothed, I cheered my guest,
I laid him on my couch to rest,
Then made the earth my bed, and seemed
In Eden's garden while I dreamed.

5. Stript, wounded beaten, nigh to death,
I found him by the highway side;
I roused his pulse, brought back his breath,
Revived his spirit, and supplied
Wine, oil, refreshment; he was healed;
I had, myself, a wound concealed,
But from that hour forgot the smart,
And peace bound up my broken heart.

6. In prison I saw him next, - condemned
To meet a traitor's doom at morn;
The tide of lying tongues I stemmed,
And honoured him mid'st shame and scorn:
My friendship's utmost zeal to try,
He asked - if I for him would die;
The flesh was weak, my blood ran chill,
But the free Spirit cried, "I will."

7. Then in a moment to my view,
The stranger started from disguise;
The tokens in his hands I knew,
My Saviour stood before mine eyes;
He spake - and my poor name he named. -
"Of me thou hast not been ashamed.
"These deeds shall thy memorial be;
"Fear not, thou didst them unto me."

Title: Lullaby by Jack Johnson

When you're so lonely lying in bed
Night's closed it's eyes but you can't rest your head
Everyone's sleeping all through the house
You wish you could dream but forgot to somehow
Sing this lullaby to yourself
Sing this lullaby to yourself
And if you are waiting, waiting for me
Know I'll be home soon darling I guarantee
I'll be home Sunday just in one week
Dry up your tears if you start to weep
And sing this lullaby to yourself
Sing this lullaby to yourself
Lullaby, I'm not nearby
Sing this lullaby to yourself
Don't you cry, no don't you cry
Sing this lullaby to yourself
Cause when I arrive dear it won't be that long
No it won't seem like anytime that I've been gone
It ain't the first time it won't be the last
Won't you remember these words to help the time pass?
So when you're so lonely lying in bed
Night's closed it's eyes but you can't rest your head
Everyone's sleeping all through the house
You wish you could dream but forgot to somehow
Sing this lullaby to yourself
Sing this lullaby to yourself
Sing this lullaby, sing this lullaby
Sing this lullaby to yourself
