Friendship's Field

Ordinary World: Iris is a tom-boy. She is 11 and so she does not have to work on the farm yet. She runs around playing all day long. She pretends that she is a Scottish soldier. She plays pranks on her sister. "You have an amazing imagination Ira." Her real name is Iris, but she hates it.
Call to Adventure: Ira's dad hires some mexican families to help out on the farm.
Refusal to Call: Ira and her sisters do not really want to have Mexican families around because it will be the source of fights.
Meeting with the Mentor: Ira meets Oscar, one of the helpers on the farm, he teaches her to accept all people.
Crossing the Threshold: Ira plays with Oscar everyday. "This is my new friend Oscar." They become good friends.
Tests, Allies, Enemies: Kids in the town are mean to Ira and Oscar. "I wouldn't bring him out in public if I were you."
Approach: Kids pick on her, but she is still nice to Oscar, and stands up for him.
Ordeal: Oscar's older brother gets ran over bu Todd.
Reward:  Ira and Oscar are still friends.
The Road Back: School starts again and she makes new friends at school. Oscar stopped playing with her and talking to her. Ira gets in a fight.
Resurrection: Oscar hears what Ira did for him and starts to play with her again. Oscars older brother is nice to Ira's older sister.
Return with Elixer: Ira and Oscar have an unforgettable and unbreakable friendship. They keep little pictures that they drew for each other forever. The are great friends even though they never see each other again.
